In the weekend of pentecostal 2010 my husband and I celebrated our 50th birthday with a party of 40 at Villa Fabbroni. We had the best time of our live and it surpassed our expactations. It was one of the best weekend and everybody in our party had the same feeling. The location is excellent. You do need a car to get there and also if you need to make some trip. In our case that was not necessary because we only spent 4 days at the site. The villa is run by the owners Stefano and Sergio. The moment we arrived we felt at home straight away. Both Stefano and Sergio were very helpful and always friendly. Even at the preparation of the party a year ago they would always try to help us with all the questions we had via the numerous emails we had and gave us wonderful tips if needed. Apart from the great service the food they prepared was excellent. The pizzas they prepared were so good that even people who normally do not eat pizza had some and were thrilled. All the appartments (we occupied the whole villa) were so different but all were decorated with lots of detail and love. I do think that all the aspects for having this great long weekend were just right. Especially thanks to the hosts. I would definitely recommend the villa to anyone who loves the tuscan way of living.

Amazing Wedding at Villa Fabbroni. We have just come home after the most amazing week of my life at the Villa fabbroni, 40 of us stayed her for our daughters wedding. It was the most fairy tale date that you could dream off. Stefano and Seirgo were the best hosts you could dream of, nothing was too much trouble, they arrange the whole wedding and the food was out of this world. We ate in their resturant and were never disappointed. I can say it was the best food I have ever tasted. The villas are something different, you could not be disappointed, we had such a fantastic time. To come out each morning to the panoramic view of the Tuscany hill was amazing. A car is essential in order to see everything, but if you are thinking of booking or have booked you will definately not be disappointed, you will have the holiday of your life

“Amazing” We got married here in August... it was the most perfect place. The villa is located in the hills overlooking a valley of green. it is run by two chaps (and their dog!) and decorated beautifully. each apartment is different. There was 40 of us and eveyone loved it. They have their own wedding planner who they can recommend (she works for a profesional company of wedding planners) and they provided all the food for the day. The food was fantastic! they have a restaurant on site that they will open for you if there is 10 or more people. The weather was amazing... i cannot recommend this place enough (espcially if you want to get married somewhere really special).. . Oh, and the wedding planner has a minister who has permisson to marry you ANYWHERE! not just in a town hall or church

This villa in Chianti is run by two Italiens (one of which is a former restaurant owner) who also offer cooking classes. The villa is peaceful and quite remote - after arriving in the small city of San Polo, paved and then dirt winding mounting roads lead to the property. Its well placed to visit the area - From San Polo Florence is 20km, San Gimignano 40km, and Sienna 55km. The Gucci outlet store (which includes a multitude of other Italian luxury brands + YSL) is in proximity as well. We were there in October so it was a bit baren. We stayed in the Colonica - spacious ajoining kitchen & living area and four bedrooms. I found the bedrooms nicely decorated (early 1900s furniture) and charming, with wooden-voleted windows offering views often visible from the bed (cottage feel). The communal area could have used a bit more effort as far as decorating (bland and poor lighting). The food, the food! A restaurant is open on the weekends (plus one night pizzas are offered, & cooking classes during certain periods). It's the best we've had in Italy, kid-you-not (& have been to and around the country several times). Traditional tuscan, simple yet elegant, straightforward. Copious (due to variety of things served vs. quantity of a particular food) - 20€/person. Its all about the quality of the ingredients (I actually asked the cook where he bought his pork, it was so succulent) and the cook's talent at making some of the tuscan classics taste THAT much better.

This villa was excellent in all respects. Was exactly what we envisioned for a Tuscan villa. Our hosts Sergio and Stefano were incredible. We stayed in the Fattoria unit and enjoyed our stay. Memories that will last a life time.

This is the real deal, if you're looking for a Tuscan getaway. The property is well-maintained, and apartments are spacious and well equipped. Hosts / Chefs Sergio and Stephano are gracious and friendly in addition to providing splendid breakfasts and dinners (or you can cook / eat in your apartment, which we did several evenings). The units are arranged so that guests have privacy, and all the units seem to have excellent views as well. The beds (where, let's face it, you spend 1/3 of your time) are comfortable, and there's ample storage space for clothing. We were unlucky, weather-wise: a rare North African heat wave shrouded Italy from Rome to Bologna while we were there. Luckily there is a very nice pool at Villa Fabbroni with shade umbrellas and comfortable pool-side seating. Few of the guests used it, (they braved the heat to visit regional wineries and museums) but our group found it to be a saving grace. It's a bit of a trek to the markets (there is a great coop about 7 km away) but the owners will provide daily necessities like fresh bread at cost, since they make a daily trip to the market... nice. The history of the villa is rich, but what really sets it apart is the affability of the hosts. I'm hoping to get Stephano's recipe for Limoncello (which they treated us to on our last evening at the villa). In addition they produce their own wine, honey and olive oil. You can't get more authentic than that!

Could not have been happier with our experience. Went with a group of 8 graduate students and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is incredible (and amazingly priced at only 20 euros). We also had the pizza and cooking class which were a lot if fun. Incredible views and looking forward to coming back.

Thank you Stefano and Sergio, you were the perfect hosts. We very much enjoyed your friendly hospitality and our every request was attended to with enthusiasm and ease. We would recommend Villa Fabbroni (The Castle to our family group) as the place to stay in the hills of Chianti. It has a peaceful setting and is still close to the hustle and bustle of Florence. Our day trips included Florence, Volterra and San Gimingano with plenty of time to return to The Castle for pre-dinner drinks in front of the open fire. Magic!! The rooms were spacious, warm and inviting with many an antique treasure to behold. If you have the chance, enjoy Sergio's cooking, Pizza Tuesday evenings and Saturday evening's three course banquet is to die for!! Arrivederci and thanks again for a wonderful stay in Tuscany.

We stayed in Loggia for ten days in mid-March and were delighted with the property, the food, the cooking class and especially the warmth and support of the two hosts. They advised us on sightseeing options, supplied internet support, brought us fresh bread every morning and firewood every evening. Their availability, resourcefulness and graciousness transcended any that we have experienced in other lodgings.

The apartment of Villa Fabbroni was fantastic for our group of 7 people (2 of which were young children) plus a dog! We loved its beautiful, rural location off the beaten path at the top of a hill. We loved the authentic yet comfortable feel of the restored villa. Each of the 4 bedrooms even had its own bathroom, which was great for getting us all out early enough to tour around (we went to Pisa/Lucca, Greve in Chianti, and Sienna). We dined at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and Sergio's cooking was delicious! We even had the Tues night pizza in the apartment, which was great and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We saw other guests having a cooking class with Sergio and wish we'd had time to do that too...maybe next time! Stefano was very helpful providing maps and info for touring the area. It was also helpful that Sergio and Stefano both spoke fluent English, too! Our vacation was even better than we had hoped for, we hope to return.

Our stay at Villa Fabbroni was one of the best vacations ever taken! The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is run by one of Tuscany's best chefs (Sergio) and the food is made with love, from fresh local ingredients. The grounds are very nice with plenty of solitude. Hiking trails abound. The hosts, Stefano and Sergio are some of the nicest and most accommodating innkeepers we've ever encountered. We highly recommend the Tuscan cooking class with Sergio and Stefano; it is not to be missed!

This is a lovely character villa in a beautiful Tuscan spot. The owners of the villa (Sergio and Stefano) are delightful and really contributed to our stay there with their local knowledge of the are, their fantastic Tuscan cooking and their warm welcome - knowing that if you need any help/advice they are always there. You do need a car if you are staying there but it is a super base to explore Florence, Siena and local towns such as San Gimignano. There are also lots of local markets and wine tasting venues to visit in this picturesque part of Italy. If staying here do book a table for the restaurant that is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and be sure to order a pizza on Tuesday evening that Stefano will bring to your villa. Sergio and Stefano have struck the perfect balance between being there if you need them and yet letting you experience an independent holiday. Their dog Oscar is also a real character - so take time time to give him a pat...can't wait to see him again!

We had a wonderful time in La Loggia at Villa Fabbroni. You must eat in the restaurant - amazing food served by Stefano and Sergio who were excellent hosts throughout the week, and always ready to give helpful advice. The villa is high in the hills and a great base from which to explore Tuscany with easy access to Florence and a comfortable drive to Sienna. It was very safe and our teenage children enjoyed staying at the villa and the pool by themselves on some of the days that we spent visiting local markets and towns. It was a wonderful and unforgettable summer vacation with our son's family with three grandchildren at Raoul in Tuscany. Especially Stefano and Sergio are the most friendfull and helpful owners for us. Many thanks and Ciao. PS; Last but not least , thanks for wonderfull dinners.

Villa Fabbroni was a perfect place to relax and make our home base to see the Chianti region with a friends and family. Sergio and Stephano where the perfect hosts, making each day special with the care and attention they gave to recommending places of interest, day trips, transport, and of course serving the delicious Tuscan food they know so well. A great time was had by all. Wonderful location, central to all of the Chianti region, yet out of the way from most tourists. A local and friendly village nearby. Sergio and Stephano are wonderful hosts.

The stay at villa Fabbroni was superb! We enjoyed the wonderful view, the great convenience of the apartment we stayed in, and most of all the great hospitality of the owners. On top of all we enjoyed greatly the wonderful meals at the villa's restaurant. Very recommended. Hope we'll have an opportunity to stay at this villa again.

A group of us - 8 friends - rented Il Padronale. The appartment was even better than the photos on the website. The owners were extremelly helpful, providing bread in the morning and their own wine whenever we requested it. It is beautifully silent and quite magical. From 3 of the group who had a cookery class, it is very well recommended. We are already planning our return visit!

A magical place .. I celebrated my 60th with some friends and it was perfect - I even became quite attached to the narrow winding drive up the mountain from San Polo. Villa Fabbroni is delightedly different .. overlooks mountains and forests although just a little down the track are those Tuscan views one imagines .. olive groves, vineyards and dotted villas here and there. Other guests had children who loved the horses, chickens and rustic atmosphere. Stefano and Sergio make you very welcome, are helpful and are one of the special things about Fabbroni .. we ate their olive oil, and honey and drank their wine .. and ejoyed their sumptuious cooking. Of course a car is necessary in Tuscany and many Tuscan villages are within a day's visit after which a relax by the pool is very welcome!..the furnishings are rustic/provincial, comfortable, clean and well appointed.... we did not want to leave! J and A Batley, Australia.

What a wonderful week spent with friends who booked two of the other appartments in the Villa. The Villa is tucked away on the side of a hill in Northeastern Tuscany. The appartments where clean and bright and beautifully and comfortably decorated. Stefano and Sergio were superb hosts. We dined there twice and the food was delicious, creative and inexpensive.
Chris S. - Fussy (France)
Had a great stay in they appartment. We were very impressed with the standard of the appartment. Really enjoyed eating in the restaurant and the homemade pizzas delivered once per week to our room. My wife also enjoyed the cookery course one morning, and it was great that we could all sample the food at lunchtime. Owners are very friendly and go out of their way to help (e.g. delivering fresh bread from the local shop each morning). Would recommend the Villa Fabbroni and we shall definitely go back one day.

We have just come back from Villa Fabbroni and had a fabulous time. We stayed in La Loggia which was perfect for the six of us, lots of space and superbly well-equipped. Sergio and Steffano have made the Villa beautiful and were the perfect hosts. We especially enjoyed the nights we ate in the restaurant and reccommend it highly. My children enjoyed making friends with the other children there and are still talking about Raoul! It's the perfect location for visiting Florence and the surrounding Chianti countryside. My only reservation would be that the drive there could be quite scary if you are not the most confident driver, but well worth it in the end.
Abbie M. - Sydney NSW (Australia)
We had a lovely week at La Fattoria, Villa Fabbroni in June 2010. The location of the villa is fabulous for those wishing to get away from it all, relax and enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Hiring a car is absolutely essential to make the most of your stay - with major cities (Florence, Siena) and smaller towns/villages of the Chianti region within easy reach for day trips. Villa Fabbroni is rustically renovated and enjoys stunning views over the rolling hills of Tuscany. The owners are very thoughtful, knowledgeable, accommodating and welcoming - making your stay memorable and relaxing.

This Villa is a must the food the owners were all amazing. My husband and I took cooking classes. We are actually making fresh pasta this weekend thanks to the chefs from the Villa. Wonderful week there. Again the food every night was amazing. (I ate Vegetarian) Every night something spectular was on our plate.

The property was lovely. The villa is very clean and spacious and the grounds are beutiful. The views are spectacular. We enjoyed our stay very much and would absolutely go back.
Kirk H. - Spring Texas (United States)
All I can say is what a wonderful place! Sergio and Stefano were excellent hosts in every way. The villa is absolutely stunning and the views truly take the stress of everyday life away. Definitely make a point to eat in their restaurant and have their pizza. Both are to die for. My wife is a chef and she was extremely impressed. We will definitely be returning! Thanks again!
Joanna G. - Tampa FL (United States)
We were all extremely pleased with Villa Fabbroni and our stay there. Stephano was wonderfully helpful, keeping our wine jugs filled, making two beautiful, delicious large pizzas for Tuesday night dinner, and arranging a fabulous birthday dinner for fourteen of us on Friday night. We enjoyed the beautiful Tuscan scenery, visited wineries and explored hill towns during the day; had social time in the lovely large living room and cooked Tuscan meals in the more than adequate kitchen at night. A perfect holiday.
Julie A. - Southampton Hampshire (United Kingdom)
we rented a three bedroom villa to get a bigger living/kitchen area. this worked very well and the location is so close to florence and siena that days out are easy you are only twenty minutes drive from the centre of florence and fourty minutes drive from siena.
Trevor T. - London middlesex (United Kingdom)
For my 40th birthday I invited 32 friends for a week in Tuscany. Stefano and Sergio did not let me down. The two dinners they cooked with aperitivo was spectacular. The assistance and support for my guests and myself was first rate. Many thanks!
Angela S. - Baltmore MD (United States)
The Villa Fabbroni exceeded all of our expectations. Stefano and Sergio are fabulous hosts and chefs--the food we enjoyed in the wonderfully warm and inviting restaurant there was the best we had in all of Italy--and everything about the place (the hosts, the accommodations, the setting, the view, fellow guests, and more) was exceptional. We stayed in the Padronale unit, which is enormous and wonderfully outfitted with impressive antiques and every modern amenity one could ask for. I can't say enough about the hospitality of Stefano and Sergio, who are so welcoming and accommodating, particularly to families with young children (ours are 6 and 3). We met several other families there, all of whom felt the same way we did about our hosts. What a wonderful vacation. I hope to return to the villa sometime soon!
Catherine G. - Jefferson Louisiana (United States)
Villa Fabbroni was absolutely wonderful. We rented the apartment La Fattoria in late May, and despite the fact there was no air conditioner, we were very comfortable. The rooms were immaculate, the grounds were incredibly well-kept, and the hosts were better than you could ever ask for! They really made the stay very enjoyable. Their dog Raul also added to the enjoyment of the stay--what a great pet! The villa is well-situated, not far from the SS222 (Chianti Road), and is a hop skip and jump away from many vineyards to tour. The road to the villa is a bit nerve-wracking, but you get used to the drive after a day or two. What an enjoyable experience! If we have the opportunity, we will definitely be staying at La Fattoria again.
Garry M. - Eugene Oregon (United States)
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Fabbroni! The property is beautiful and Stefano and Sergio were so warm, welcoming and helpful. It could not have been a better stay and we highly recommend this property. The only thing we would share is that you are a bit of a drive from other towns and sights. If you are prepared for that - and have an opportunity to enjoy just staying "home" to enjoyo the villa - you will be very happy. Oh - we must say that the best meal we had in Italy was our dinner at Villa Fabbroni!
0ded O. - Mizpe Aviv Israel (Israel)
It is a very quiet and remote house. The house and site are beautiful. The owner and stuff are excellent and very helpful. It was wonderful to be there.
Susan P. - Monte Rio California (United States)
Our stay at the Villa Fabbroni was wonderfully satisfying. The setting is gorgeous, the accommodations comfortable, and the hosts (Stefano and Sergio) aboslutely charming. Plus, the gourmet Italian food they prepare and serve in the wine cellar restaurant is outstanding: the best!

what a wonderful 8 days! 8 new jersey girls on holiday in tuscany! sergio and stefano were the most amazing hosts and went out of their way to make our stay magical. the meals they prepared were truly delightful. wish we could return year after year. d,d,m,k,a&l-nj-usa

Stefano and Seregio were two of the nicest people we have ever met. Very pleasant and helpfull. Ralph was a source of real pleasure. The location is superb and the food grand. Highly recommend it.

Villa Fabbroni was exceptional in beauty, location, and service. The hosts were helpful and informative. I recommend this Villa to anyone.
Angela K. - Etten-eur Noord Brabant (Netherlands)
From the second our tires touched the gravel road heading up to the villa we were enamoured. The surroundings were lovely, and the villa itself was beautiful. We were greeted by Stefano, who is very warm and helpful. We had a very relaxing week in the Tuscan sun and we had WONDERFUL food at the on-property restaurant. This villa is far away enough from everything to give you a truly relaxed feeling, but also close enough to Florence, Sienna, etc. to make day trips possible. Would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family.
Charlene D. - North Wales PA (United States)
The villa is stunning. The views are spectacular. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We were impressed. The pictures online do not do the reality of the villa justice. The bathrooms were large and the showers were very accomodating. My husband is 6'8 and he had no problems using the shower. The water and water pressure on the showers was great and we never ran out of hot water. We took advantage of the bus stop in Grassina to travel into Florence - highly recommended! The cooking class at the villa is excellent and was greatly enjoyed. We also went on a winery tour that is also highly recommended. If time permits, travel on 222 down to Siena. It is a great ride with lots of beautiful scenery and many quaint towns (Greve, Gretti). Siena is something that should not be missed - it is a walled midevil city that is a must see. What can I say about Sergio and Stephano?? To say they are the absolute best hosts you would wish and hope for is an understatement! We rented the entire villa and had our wedding there. It was the greatest time of our lives and all who attended agree we were treated like royalty. We came based on a leap of faith and departed with a lifetime of memories and life long friends.
George G. - NEEDHAM Massachusetts (United States)
I personally liked the location at the top of the mountain. The views were breathtaking. The restaurant served a good variety and it was all freshly prepared. The location is centrally located relative to the sites to visit.

WOW! Beyond a shadow of a doubt Sergio and Stephano and Villa Fabbroni were the absolute highlights of our amazing trip to Italy. Hosts with hearts of gold, they went above and beyond the gold standard to assist us in all of our local travel plans as well as emergency assistance when our car broke down. Thank you so much for the amazing vacation and the best food in all of Italy. We highly recommend their weekend restaurant. The Bruschetta alone is worth the trip. The villa itself was enormous and beyond reproach. Thank you for the best of times and the incredible accomodations! Your graciousness and lovely home were a memory for a lifetime. Brenda B. - Lexington, KY.
Ivy D. - Great Neck NY (United States)
We had a wonderful week at Villa Fabbroni. It was lovely and the pool was very cool looking over the mountains in between olive trees. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Our hosts were welcoming and very informative about Tuscany. The meals we ate at the villa were delicious and I recommend the Tuesday Night pizza. The villa is a great place for families and we hope to return there in the future.
Julie D. - Austin Tx (United States)
The Villa Fabbroni was just as we had hoped. Great location. Great property. Pool and grounds were beautiful. Stefano and Sergio were there to help with anything we needed. Sergio's weekend dinners were fabulous. We all can not wait to return.

Villa Fabbroni is a paradise for city-weary travelers. Spectacular views, kind and helpful hosts, and a variety of Tuscany's best offerings within reach.
Edwin C. - Alton Hampshire (United Kingdom)
This is a gem off the beaten track yet Firenze is within easy distance, the best food we had on holiday and great hosts. Excellent value. A pool with stunning views!

Heath - London - UK We rented Villa Fabbroni for our wedding week, Sergio & Stefano are the most amazing people and made our stay and wedding day at Villa Fabbroni the most amazing we could have ever wished for. The Villa is a magical place that leaves you breathless, each room is a treasure to behold. If you are thinking of visiting Tuscany and looking for memories of a magical time then Villa Fabbroni will not disappoint. The location, rooms and the amazing food are all faultless, I would recommend staying here to anyone.
Grace K. - Bronx NY (United States)
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Villa Fabbroni! Besides the charm and beauty of the physical surroundings, the hosts (Sergio and Stefano) were warm, helpful, and always available. The delicious and authentic cuisine created in the restaurant was the best we encountered in all of Tuscany! The location also makes it perfect for exploring both the Chianti countryside as well as lovely Florence. We will most definitely come back and HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a special experience.
Ron Whiteside W. - Ontario (Canada)
This was a wonderful find! Website reservations are always a little questionable until the reality appears, but I can't imagine a better value than "Il Padronale", from any source. Large, antique-furnished rooms, working fireplace, spectacular views, wonderful location, and, most importantly, our hosts, Stefano and Sergio, who couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Highest recommendation!
